This week the GCA English department welcomed Nathan Parker (a local, published author of novels, plays and poetry). Our Y10 & Y11 students enjoyed Nathan exploring his narrative and then supporting them to develop their own ideas and planning for their own narratives. A number of our Y11 students also benefited from a writing masterclass led by Nathan which helped them develop the narratives they are currently working on in preparation for their forthcoming mock exams. Throughout the sessions we all witnessed some fantastic plots, convincing characters and fascinating settings. I believe that we truly have some budding authors in the making.
