Year 11 student Jasmine Jolly, competed in Lancashire County Championships 2018 held in Blackburn on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of May.

On Saturday she won the 80m Hurdles in a time of 11.1 sec and set a new championship record - she broke her 2017 record of 11.50 sec!  On Sunday Jasmine also competed in the 300m Hurdles and won in a time of 42sec, breaking the the previous championship record of 44sec set in 2007. Jasmine is now #1 in the Uk for 300m hurdles!!

This year Jasmine aims to represent Great Britain in the European U18 400m hurdles to be held in Hungary in July.  The qualifying standard in the women’s 400mH is 61.50 and Jasmine current time in this event is 60.78sec. She is currently #1 in U18  400mH category in the UK and 3rd in Europe. This Sunday Jasmine will compete in Loughborough University International Championship, hoping to improve her 400mH times and further improve her changes for selection in the GB team.
